Recorded at London’s Cadogan Hall, it features classic title tracks, themes and suites from films that became legends during Hollywood’s Golden Age (late 1920s to early 1960s). The fabulous Clio Gould performs the second movement of Rózsa’s Violin Concerto, adapted by the composer as the music for Billy Wilder’s The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes. Conducted one of the most recorded classical artists in history, Jose Serebrier, Golden Age of Hollywood Vol. 2 includes themes and excerpts from Citizen Kane, The Godfather, To Kill a Mockingbird, North by Northwest, the thrillers Vertigo and Dial M for Murder, The Caine Mutiny, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, Sunset Boulevard, and A Place in the Sun.
